next year i will be lower. im buying some broadway static springs which will be compatible with the racelands adjusters and i will be tucking lots o rim. and a stiffer ride, e30 rear shocks too ins tea of riding on the bumpstops.

im making a skid plate to lower the front quite a bit. probably like .75 inches...? and removing the helper spring and front lip.
also getting 8.5 wheels up front with a 195-40/17 tire... which is INSANE stretch.

The stiffer the shock, the harder it is on the RSM. OEM style RSMs have a hard enough time coping with stock suspensions, so subjecting them to an aftermarket suspension makes it even worse. And of course, check for shock tower damage before ordering anything. No point in buying new RSMs if the noise is due to your shock tower having ripped out.

If Joe bought a Dakar car we could get like 12 of them in a row at next year's Bimmerfest. That's assuming I don't show up at BFE in a VW because my E36 is in seventeen thousand pieces.

Yeah, I was replying to Ken:

I guess. Could be worse. You better be low as shiiit, though!

In other news, HOLY CHRIST. My dad has been driving around in an unregistered car for 1.5 YEARS and they didn't catch on until this past weekend. Shows something about CT law enforcement, I think. And we don't live in the middle of nowhere.

What happened was, the car was on lease, and the registration was good until 2013 (paper in the car). But he bought the car out of the lease in summer of last year. The title was transferred, but he never re-registered it. So it has been unregistered since then.

How do you insure a car without having valid registration?

Works the opposite way in CT. You can't register a car unless it is insured.

You can insure anything, and most states will drop your reg if you don't have insurance.

I have comp only on the E39 and liability and comp on the E36, neither are currently registered.

I suggested Randi to my wife, but she squashed that quickly. In fact, she just "looked" at me...
Went with Stella Marie instead

But the E39 is currently a glorified tool bench and storage area...

Did you get the exhaust on and the clutch bled?

You hush.

And no, haven't touched it. Sunday all day in Fremont, and ended up at my dads office till 3 last night installing new systems and troubleshooting some of the network printers.Didn't even go home last night, crashed in Fremont for my 4 hours of sleep.

Hopefully can do something tonight.
