You guys are looking at it all wrong. If it happens while you're there and you have insurance info from the at-fault and proof of fault, it can only work in your benefit. Just keep it cool and relax and think of all the new mods you'll be able to buy. Plus, girls like it when men handle their business without throwing a fit.

It's true. They like that when something bad happens that you quickly have a plan to take care of it efficiently and cleanly. Emotions just cloud your judgment. Always make sure she's ok first regardless of what the negative situation is, handle the matter smoothly and make it look like it was no big deal and easy for you to solve, and move on.

Girls remember simple silly things like that. Brittany still brings up the way I handled getting a flat the night we got engaged from time to time. Who would have guessed simply changing a flat tire quickly would stick out to anyone?

Ohhh speaking of changing flat tires.

This story came about the other day from my little brothers GF- about 2 years ago for her birthday they were on there way to LA (she was in SF for a time) and heading to the airport when her got a flat. They had to call AAA because my little brother had NO IDEA how to change a tire.
She still makes fun of him for that.

Yup. It's the little things. From what I've gathered girls like to know they can rely on you to take care of them. Even if it's not a serious relationship I think its subconscious - it increases your attractiveness to them, thanks biology. If you have to have someone else deal with something simple like that, it makes them doubt if you can really take care of them.

And always remember to have a good reason for whatever youre doing, even if you have to ad lib it.

I don't know if I ever had to do that.... Been together for 6 years now. But, I barely remember the night we got engaged. Well, I remember some parts better than others....
actually, I'm pretty sure my wife thinks I have the mind of a 90 year old.

I asked what time the mail comes today, 3 times

Just got back from the shop, $142 to install and code the new SRS module.

Oh well, shop time is shop time and that's why I have a savings account I suppose. The new module didn't clear the light, but now its actually throwing a code, so I have something to go on. Something in the driver's airbag circuit seems to be acting up now, hopefully it'll be a simple wiring fix.

At least you have an excuse for the memory now that the Randy is here. I'm terrible too though. I always just tell Brittany I'm like the absent minded professor - I'm actually a genius and just have too many brilliant thoughts regularly running through my head to remember trivial details like what I'm supposed to pick up on the way home.

She hadn't believed me yet.

ugh... good luck sorting that mess out. and $150 bucks seems pretty cheap for labor plus part

Do you need the light to be off for inspections or something? In CT we don't...

That's exactly what I was thinking. I would be thrilled if someone backed into my bumper while I was there.

The part was $50 from an eBay junkyard, that was just labor to install it. I still don't think the price was unfair in the slightest, its just never fun to fork over cash, especially during these past few months of extreme penny-pinching trying to save for a DD.

Yeah, but even if not I think I'd trying to fix it. I absolutely hate lights on my dashboard, and I'd prefer that if I am in an accident, my airbags have a chance of working.

CFOs are always boring. They drone. I'm a numbers guy so I love the presentations though, I just wish the presenters were more fun.

Someone is going to have a very Merry Christmas. Just found out from Brittany she thinks she might have mailed her credit card with the Christmas cards she just sent out.

Facepalm.

"We were thinking about you this holiday season. Hope you get EVERYTHING you wanted for Christmas! - Brittany and Chad"

+Credit Card.

The message you send can change drastically with the addition of a credit card. Trying to think of other messages that would be similarly changed.

That is too funny.
You should probably call whoever you sent the card to before you pay for a trip to Hawaii and a new 70 inch TV.

It was like 50 cards so who knows. It could be in the Philippines, Japan, anywhere. I think it might be more expedient to call the c/c company.

Also, just got a call from
Brittany. She took the girls in for their 18mo check up and Sophia is almost 3' tall and at the 100.0th percentile for height for 18mo girl babies (disregarding her being 5+wks early) Allie isn't far behind at 92nd percentile.

Dang.

My brother and I were both 3' tall at 18 months, but now he's 6'1" and I'm 5'9". Better too big than too little, especially at that age.

Damn Chad, how tall are you and Brittany? Sounds like you might have a basketball player on your hands, or volleyball.

My dad is 6'1" and my mom is 5'9" or 5'10" and I'm 6'3". Built like piece of spaghetti but that's beside the point.
