Are you sure the interior is cow-made and not man-made? My buddy has an e30 with minty fresh leatherette interior. That stuff wears well.

It wears better than leather, that's for sure.

i sat down in my dar tonight and it was 30 degrees. as soon as my sweat shirt hit the seat it got caught and lifted and my back went skin first on a freezing leatherette seat, that sucked.

The quality of the leather being used in cars during the '90s was pretty bad, too.

Were you doing anything out of the ordinary? Kind of a BS ticket if you were driving around normally and not speeding, etc.

I feel like that is one of those things to just pull you over, kind of like a front plate.

When the cop suspects something is up and just needs a reason to check.

I got a ticket for that a couple years ago. $110 fine. The cop couldn't catch me for speeding (or at least it didn't make sense to do so as I knew he was there and was only doing 10 km/h over which is only a $55 fine). The cop took his flashlight (it was 1 am) and looked up my exhaust. (It was brand new, the UUC System'U', installed maybe a month before) and he claimed that he could see right through it. I asked him if he had a decibel meter, he says he didn't require one.

TL; DR: there were three people charged by the same cop in court that day all of us with the same obscure charge of 'improper muffler'. Myself, a colour wearing Hells Angel and some random guy that didn't get a chance to speak. The judge threw out the charges for all three of us, told the cop in future to have some form of evidence before wasting the court's time, and that his hearing was overly sensitive.

Wow!!! Got insurance on the M3 today and paying $33 for liability...

Full coverage was 110... but who wants full coverage on 15+ year car?

Hey Joey is that your car?

I'll see what the GF is willing to try, she's the one handling all this, and she wants it so bad I'm not sure she's willing to try anything drastic to lower the price.

Damn! I kinda figured they'd be easy to work on :/
This is important, because I'm sure I know who will be stuck working on it
A VW MKV GTI would be in her price range, it would be much easier to work on than the mini because you can actually get to the engine in the engine bay. Of course its a VW, so it will have its little annoyances, but it still probably be kinder to you than a Mini. And it should still check the "cute box" for the GF.

Seriously. The leather they used on the vaders is such terrible quality, the Nappa leather on my E46 seats is crazy soft on the other hand. I've caught myself idly stroking the passengers seat.

I have full coverage on the M3 but its worth it to me, if someone totalled it on my way to work one morning I wouldn't have enough cash to easily replace it. If something actually did happen I'd probably take the check for the car, buy it back, use the remainder as a downpayment for a DD and then sloooooooowly start rebuilding the E36.

And yeah, I told them they could use the photos to market the wheels.

Very possibly could be and I hope it isn't leather bc last so long. My vaders are wrapped in marine vinyl, leather wears to quick for my taste.

Between the seats and the suede everywhere I'll know within .00002 seconds if someone on MDMA gets in my car.

My boss has an RX-8.... mind you he's a 65 year old guy who peels out of the parking lot on occasion. It's a decent car BUT the Wenkle engines are nothing short of awesome, however the fact that the whole thing has to be rebuilt at 75k is a little disappointing.

The RX-8 chassis is awesome, the rotary motor is only cool on paper. In real life it sucks to deal with. I'd love to see an RX-8 with a MS3 motor swapped in. Or a built MazdaSpeed Miata motor, since it has a RWD trans.

The MS6 will have its shortcomings, it will feel tinny compared to the bimmers, and they do look kind of cheap. But. They make 315hp/316tq with stage 1 flash, they are AWD, 6spd, cheap and far, far more reliable than a BMW, Audi or Merc.

And I thought I liked weird cars....if you've really convinced yourself you're going to enjoy a Mazda 6 you are far weirder than me.

Joey I can't come to grips with the OPH's. I HIGHLY doubt they're the same non-existent quality of the BMW aftermarket, but nonetheless, me no gusta.

No ticket (thank goodness) she just told me that i should get it fixed soon.

i was driving normally, i just took a turn onto the street that she was on then she came after me like 5 minutes later.

At least she wasnt a dick.

i just found it weird and a waste of time cause ive never had that complaint before

my car has full coverage also but due to the fact im under my moms policy and every car shes had, has had full coverage on em

Speaking of insurance. I called this morning and the e30 would be around $17 for liability or $31 for comp. Might just put it in Ashlins name and it will be about $20 for liability and comp. Cheapo. Hopefully I will be getting this car this weekend! Still no pics, sorry guys.
Thats odd Dino, im sure my exhaust is louder than yours and no complaints with mine so far...I still have the cats and resos too tho.
