This.

The stop and shop gas station by me is ALWAYS packed.

Yes the price is good with your s&s card but the amount of gas wasted idling there and turning on and off your car waiting in long lines isnt really worth it. Even the line after putting the gas in also

I just go to hess Since its easier to get to and its closer to my house anyways

^Same was true of Racelands if I'm not mistaken. In my view, you get what you pay for when it comes to shocks. The cheap stuff almost always has inferior seals, valves, thin pistons, lax assembly tolerances, and poorer surface finishes. But if you're just looking for something to slam it for a few years, I guess it makes sense for some people to buy the cheap stuff.

i wonder how many of them were due to the f&f syndrom and were overstressed by drifting??

irc, raceland states that their coilovers are *not* intended for race or track use, but as an option to replace oe suspension with a coil over style product for 'regular' street use.

at least that is the way i looked at them...

That was supposed to be for the first gen CO's. I had heard good things about2nd gen, but that was about 3 years ago now. I haven't looked into them since.

I recall that racelands were advertised as the opposite. For track use only...

I've read good and bad, going to pass on them...

Kind of don't want to throw 600+ on new suspension, want to buy a fairly used ones.... ~450... is this possible?

Well I bought my lightly used Bilstein Sport shocks and H&R Springs for $300 from a fellow BMWCCA club member, but then added a few hundred in new hardware and upper mounts, etc.

I may have gotten an unusually good deal, but it happens from time to time.

Koni struts with dinan springs if you're interested. All pictures of my car show how much it lowered it.

http://www.racelandus.com/warranty

excluded from warranty under 'high stress driving of any kind'....which is followed up by 'auto racind and other motorsports...very dangerous...products are subject to failure...'

doesn't sound like the sort of thing that i would want to use on the track...

Just thought some of you shutterbugs out there might like these. I help with the research for this site by locating the churches to photograph. The photos are 9 layer HDR and quite impressive. The photographer is good guy and a good friend. Neither of us get paid, but hopefully there will be a book out soon with my text and his photos about the Churches of Charleston and other cities. I love the history and architecture, although I am not really religious.

Is that 10k sq ft of land, or building? Business or residential? SO MANY QUESTIONS?!

I don't want to know what the taxes are for my folks' 243 acres...

4400/yr on 350k of property? That's not bad at all. Our tax on the house we're planning to buy is 5600/yr on 250k. Thanks Mello-Roos.

And 10k is huge. Our lot is 4900 with an 1800sqft single story and has plenty of room. The one we're looking at is 9300 and that's way bigger than I wanted.

My taxes here in Mass are less than DC, but in DC I got a homestead deduction which brought the real tax payment down A LOT. So, nothing to complain about there.

I grew up on an acre of land, with no one around... so it felt bigger.

And $5,500 a year on 250k is pretty high... You Cali people are strange though. Can't say anything about NY. Don't really know anything about it, other than the dumb George Washington Bridge is mad expensive to go over on my way down to DC.

NY seems to squeeze every dollar out of their people that they can. Every ticket gets an $85 surcharge added to it. Yes, even my $30 "obstruction of view" fine.
