Karma maybe? Right before Sandy I bought a brand new iPhone 4 with a bad ESN form a seller in long island. Then Sandy hit and like a week went by before the iPhone shipped. When I got the iPhone I saw it was the wrong color. So I checked the ESN and saw it was good. I think the iPhone I bought was damaged in Sandy and the seller had to send me another iPhone. So I bought another iPhone with a bad ESN and sold the other one on eBay for a $150 profit. But then like a month later the Russian asshole who bought it wanted to return it because he did not know that a Verizon iPhone can’t work with his carrier. So I try to work with him but he files a PayPal claim and PayPal just takes $350 out of my bank account while it decides who to side whit. Moral of the story is, if you profit off a mistake/disaster Karma can be a bitch.

If Ford contacted you about replacing them under warranty, that sounds like a recall to me.

Failing at 65k miles in the Yukon seems pretty soon, though. I'm wondering if a lot of the newer cars, many of which have gigantic heavy wheels these days, put extra strain on the wheel bearings due to the excessive weight.

I took it (Escape) in because of the racket it was making and it's under warranty. But it has relatively small wheels at 15in, but huge tires. The Yukon does have massive wheels and a massive GVW though. Dad's Chevrolet truck has never had one go bad and he's at 103k. On a 2001.

Did you say on the listing that it was a verizon iphone and that you don't accept returns? He shouldn't have won that case.

I don't see how that would happen. The bearings will still encounter the same weight while spinning (weight of the car pushing downwards). The weight of the wheels only affects the rotational force, which shouldn't change the load on the bearing.

It does. The lateral load when turning has a lot to do with bearing life. Heavier wheel/tire=more load.

Huh, I would think that would make a lot less difference, but what do I know.

Totally wasted my night. Drove two hours to look at that E30 sedan. Total POS, oil light on at all times, e brake stuck, way more rust than pictured, horrible smoke smell. Sigh

He wanted 600, I offered him 300. He said he won't take less than 500 because that's scrap value even though he doesn't want to scrap it. I told him, dude, the car weighs 2800 pounds SOAKING WET, and scrap isn't going for 14 bucks a hundred, even if it was that's NOT EVEN 400 bucks!!!!

He said well my dad said it's worth that in scrap. Keep in mind this dude is like 40 and seemed like he lived with his dad still. I told him I have 450 with me, take it or leave it. Well he left it, probably a good thing.

Then he offered me his repainted bright blue 318ti, complete with painted moldings, big black wheels, broken bumpers, and a sweet custom exhaust for 4.....................THOUSAND DOLLARS!

BAHAHAHAHAH

I hate people like that. I've definitely had my share of busts, you just want to shake the person and ask then why they're so f*cking stupid and can't tell you up front what's wrong.

I said that it was a Verizon cdma iPhone about 5 times it the listing. I also set my return policy to not accepted. I do not who won the case because PayPal takes a month to rule. Hopeful I will get my money back on the 17 but it still suck not having it now .

Honestly I do not think I could ever see myself spending 52k on a new BMW. If I had that kind of money to spend on a car this is what I would get.

Then I would go to the track and lap some hyper-cars.

Another person I know commented that they look like they were run into a brick wall at a low speed and had the front portion of the hood buckled up a bit. Kinda makes sense.

In a way yeah, I just dont understand how it's appealing. It just doesn't seem to flow with the last 60 odd years of design at all.
