Jen, take a look at the blackberry playbook. It was selling at Christmas for 249 which was iirc below manufacture costs.

There just isn't enough coffee for Monday mornings. No matter how much I drink I still want to go back to bed.

^ I just went through this. Do not try to sand them your self. The rims need to be striped to bare metal which is very difficult without a sand blaster or chemical bath. I was quoted $35-45 per rim unsanded so I can not imagine sanding the rims your self will save you any money after supplies. Other than that go for it. Powder coating is very tough and looks good.

Meh, that's a lot of work. I've never been a fan of the newer wheels on the older cars, but I'm a purist though. I like some of the other wheels, Karl's and Travis' wheels both look really good IMHO.

In other news it takes an accounting degree to order parts when you're under $150 to find out where you aren't getting shafted. It's ridiculous what they charge for shipping. Autohausaz is free shipping at $50, Pelican at $75, etc. But without a $75 order Pelican wants $18 for snail mail shipping on a trans filter, steering reservoir, and two trans pan gaskets! Without hitting $50 Autohausaz wants $22! Of course I should be working so maybe it serves me right.

Joe, any orange yet?

I'd have to get em sandblasted and powder-coated then :/. I dunno think it'd be worth it always been a fan of this style but then I'd have to try and sell my rims with brand new tyres for more then likely a loss.

^What rims are you using now?
Whoever you take the rims to for powder coating should also strip the rims too. You do not have to take the rims to two places for everything. I would safely budget $200 for the powder coating.

And, here's the trip mileage. Not bad for a full car loaded with luggage and 5 people. We left 5 minutes after one of the other cars in our group, stopped to look at or new house for about 25 minutes, and still beat them home by 40 minutes and they only stopped for gas.

Agree on the last holding no call, we could've won there.

But really, fcuk the Niners......we could've won despite the calls if the Niners has actually showed up to play in the first half. We almost turned it off at half time.

I did turn it off after the lights went out.

but I have to say, I was rooting for the Ravens. College buddies are HUGE ravens fans, and I would go to his parents place during college and watch. His parents are GREAT cooks... I went for the food, ending up liking the Ravens (Patriots first though)

:/ hate to admit it but your right. Props to the Ravens for being the underdogs and giving the 9iners a proper whooping for the first half...was a great game. Can't wait for more pictures of that trip that mountain scenery looks gorgeous.

Summers ill trade off the 156's hopefully they'll pay for the new 17" tires...refinishing hopefully with chrome lip and pearled silver middle.....and are the 42's actually a 2 piece or are they fake 2 pieces? Does anyone know I've searched and found mixed answers
Scratch that found a solid answer they are a 2 piece however a weird torx head is needed...

So we had the Pacific Region Conference for the BMW CCA this weekend here in SF. I got to meet a bunch of folks from most of the chapters on the best coast.

Karl, I have to say the Puget Sound folks are cooler than the rest (aside from us in the GGC, of course). Pretty fun bunch. Your chapter prez (works for Microsoft) was trying to get me to buy a Surface after she saw I have a Nokia Windows Phone.

Also, the game was pretty intense and frustrating after half way through the 3rd quarter. That first half was just bad. Niners deserved to lose playing like that. I dropped a gal off in SF afterwards and it was DEAD quiet. City hall still in support with their red and gold lights on. Bunch of hookers in the Tenderloin tried to get into my X5 at a stoplight until a cop drove by and blipped the siren.

Oh what fun that city can be after 11pm on a Sunday!
