So a local BMWCCA member has a personalized license plate on his E30 which reads "GOES211", which (unbeknownst to me) is a This is Spinal Tap reference. Somebody by the name of "Johnny Dixon" contacted the WA State Department of Licensing to report a "lude" vanity plate, thinking that it was insinuating that the car's owner's penis grows to 11 inches in length. The state ruled in favor of the BMW's owner. How perverted of a mind do you have to possess to start thinking about penis length when you read "GOES211"? Also, how much of a completely useless human must you be to reach the point when you start calling in peoples' license plates? Our club is getting a good laugh out of it.

That's great Karl. I think if I saw an "offensive" plate I'd probably chuckle to myself that they managed to get it through the states censors.

All I thought was he meant it went 211mph? Took me a minute to come to the Spinal Tap reference (without knowing) People have way too much time on their hands. That plus a lack of common sense is evidenced by the second video. What a moron.

Sorry, didn't catch it before the new page popped up.

Yeah, we have some good folks in our Chapter. de-Anna (current prez) has been around for a while. I don't know her too well, but she's been very nice when I have attended board meetings, etc. The previous prez, Michelle Miller, owns an S54 Z3MC and an Evo 9, which she won the national SCCA auto-x championship with. The PNW has a really big auto enthusiast community, and so we have a lot of great people with tons of knowledge and connections, which then leads to great club events. I'm looking forward to the next few months, as the club will be hosting a number of private tours at really great race & collector car shops. The Puget Sound chapter is (I believe) one of the oldest in the country, and was also responsible for the PRO3 racing series. So yeah, we've got a pretty robust BMW scene here.

Thank you.

Michelle was there, too. She was pretty cool. All around it looks like a really well run chapter.

In other news, here's how NOT to jump your Ford SVT Raptor.

My wife worked as the admin for the county mayor for 3 years. You would not believe the sh1t people call in with. Example, some guy found a county guideline that states the garbage collectors are supposed to leave the lid for the can within 2 feet of the can and the can is supposed to be replaced within 2 feet of where they picked it up. This guy painted squares at the end of his driveway to mark off the tolerances and if the can and lid weren't inside those distances he would call in a complaint to the mayors office. Needless to say it was an every garbage day event.
Don't have enough time or space to write about "The Travelers" cult people.

People like this piss me off. When I was getting my license plate I looked into a vanity plate. I wanted something like “D NUKEM” for Duke Nukem but “nuke” was not allowed. Apparently little Timmy’s head would just explode if he saw the letters “n” ”u” “k” “e” in a row. What ever happened to free speech in this country? I have lost count of how many times censorship has enraged me. Censorship has done everything from splitting up the Dead Kennedys to ruining South Park episode 201.

Bad kitty news... Had to put my moms cat down this afternoon. She was 15.

My parents are actually away on vacation, but were aware that this could happen during this time.
