Gotcha by 4k, flipped 162,000 the other day. Just mean's she's in her prime.

Chad, invasion on hold, told Susie where I was going and was getting ready to pack the guns and... California is safe for now.

No way it would have been safer that way! It be easier to get forgiven for invading California.

Saw a red 8 series on Atlanta Craigslist not long ago, listed at $6500 with 145k but it was an auto. They are cool looking cars.

As much as I love that car, I don't think I could pay $50k+ for it.

you have a valid point, that thing would have to be sub 50k miles. what it does have going for it is, it's a CSi, which means S70, 6 speed, touring suspension, and my god... look at the interior. i'm not sure what dealer MSRP was in '95 but I'm sure it was pretty close to 6 digits, so 50k seems alright for something that appears to be all original and mint.

It's cuz she doesn't believe you're invading it for some internet guys, she thinks you're going to check out the beach hotties.

Confess. Show her a pic of Chad in his speedo, and you're golden. Just change your destination to San Fran...

Yeah its not enough car for the $$, I'd rather have a CSi with 40-50k miles for $25-30k than to pay out the butt for a car that's going to have leaky seals and all kind of issues thanks to sitting around unused for 19 years.

Still super cool, but if I was gonna spend 50k+ on a car it'd be a 997 911 or Aston V8 Vantage.

Hrm, good point on the Aston. Or a Quattroporte.

And the 8s don't have much headroom. Still would love it though.

Another reason to HQ in San Diego.

Very true. That could stop the invasion in its tracks. All women involved would immediately flock to him and cause a distraction.

Patrick, I looked last night and there's only web app stuff. I would really rather not do that.

Also it's in Berkeley (which is cool) right near a BART station. So I could live in SF and commute via BART!

You said they might be expanding, though. I think I'd rather manage a team of folks that do that kind of work than do it myself. Don't get me wrong, I have the skillset, I just don't enjoy doing it.

I haven't filed my W-2's yet, but just by looking at them, I'm probably going to owe this year. :rage:

Yeah, that shop notoriously over-prices the cars it sells. I'm actually often quite offended by their asking prices. I've gone to car shows organized by the manager, and the owner has tons of incredibly rare BMWs (M1, 3.0CSL LTW, etc.) which have won our Concours, etc. My BMWCCA chapter has a tour of their shop coming up in a month or two, which I'm not going to attend due to my disgust of their pricing policy.

GTR what? Certainly not Nissan GT-R money. I have a hard time believing you could find a Nissan GT-R for $50k that wasn't bent like a banana.

Yeah I work for RTI- not MPR... RTI has a few web app developer openings, but nothing good at the moment.

I'll keep an eye out for anything good though. We normally get told before they go public.

Honestly If I had $50,000 to spend on a car, I would spend it all on my current e36...call me crazy but I honestly would. LS2swap (built and s/c'd ofcourse) and full suspension, exhaust and brake work. Paint. call it a day.
