I don't get the fun in driving that low. I find my car a pain just getting into my garage or into work, and I'm lifted compared to that.

Saw this on my test to day and laughed. My mind is defiantly in the gutter today.

Saw this in the mall and I cannot tell if the dealer was all proud that it got a BMW and put it in the mall to show off or if the mesh grills shamed the dealer and now they are try to get rid of it. Or maybe the dealer found the mesh grills so ugly that it put the car in the mall so no one at the dealership would have to look at it.

as for compressors, i would go with the 8 gallon unit if you have the room. it'll run longer initially, and is more bulky, but will be able to deliver a greater volume than most of the others (in general).

again, depends upon the specs of the tools you wish to use.

I've no clue to the rating, I know the impact is 350 ft-lbs though and all Mastercraft tools have a complete lifetime warranty. You break it, drop it off, and they give you a new one on the spot.

Is that good. Doesn't seem like a deteriorating part to me. I've never really priced them so I don't know what they go for used. If it's only 60 less it doesn't seem like "that" good of a deal.

According to Ken and Karl, they're usually ~$150. Right under the new price.

Karl had always wanted to wait until he could find one used for ~$100 IIRC, I believe he helicoiled his in.

If memory serves, one of the regulars, (Randy? CJ?) bought one used, and had an issue lining it up, but did get it to fit.

I remember that being Randy, and I also believe that he bought it from a totaled car which was thought to be the cause.

I think I'll hold off on this one. For that size part I'd rather just pick one up locally.

Though he is including shipping for the $125. I'd say it is a fair price, but not the deal of the century.

To be picky about the brace, make sure it's one with the two extra struts between the mounting points. They substantially stiffen an already very useful addition.

Every time I have a little money available for one of those, they show up on CL only a few dollars less than new price. When I'm broke it seems I always can find one for $75-$100, and of course they sell immediately.

Finances have gotten so irritatingly tight I quit prowling CL. It was too depressing to see stuff I'd love to have going for chickenfeed, and I'm all out of feed.

Damn that's sexy.
Guess how much he bought it for?

$4k.

It is worth ~$22k right now. Perfect condition everything. 1 of 1 FROM the factory and the engine is still under bmws 100k lifetime warranty for the e34 540i. He can get a brand new engine from them still if he desires and the price would shoot up.

In other news. Sketchiest shoot tonight. I legitimately feared for my life. A SUV kept rolling by us about 6 times at 5-10mph. He made a final pass going about 60mph. Me and the clients dove out of the way behind the car since the situation seemed like what was leading up to a drive by. Texted my friends the plate # and description. Told them if I die, it was a driveby. Also called and reported to police.

The off thing was that it was in a nice par of DT Los Angeles...

Jeez Ken, just come down here till winter's over. You can work on my car for rent.
Very uncharacteristically it's 36 here today. In March. Normally we are hitting 70 with regularity.

I hate it so much, and that stupid groundhog. my local forescast doesn't mention it stopping anytime soon either, it's looking like steady snow past 6pm. so after I down another cup or so of joe im going to suit up, fire up the ole Ariens and try to keep up with the storm.

Why did I ever move back here

Honestly I'd probably just stay inside for days if I had to deal with that much snow. I've never even driven in it, in any car. I would have no idea what to do. If we get one inch like we did 4 years ago this place shuts down. Malls, grocery stores, gas stations, bridges all close.

Make a road trip up north some time and spend a few hour hooning in an empty parking lot when it starts snowing, best way to learn too handle snow.
