I really don't care if you hate Harry Potter. I couldn't care less if you think it's a boring plot with two dimensional characters, however I DO have a problem with you hating other people for being different so thank you for keeping those thoughts to your self and I would hope that you would also treat gay people exactly the same way that you would treat a straight friend. One of the clients I work at, there is a gay guy that I've become good friends with, all though our views on the subject are polar opposite we can put those differences aside and still be friends. In fact I've even watched his house for him and his partner when they have gone on vacation. I don't look down on them for their beliefs, but that doesn't mean I have to agree with them.

More OT: I took my Blazer to the shop Friday morning. It would barely run. Mechanic called back a while later and said it was the MAF sensor. I said, OK, fix it. new MAF sensor + labor= ~ $260.

I waited until 4:30 and called back. "Hey, is the Blazer ready?" Mechanic: "uh, no, still has problems". Me:"Then it WASN'T the MAF?" Mechanic: "Uh, it still has problems" and hangs up. Ohhhhh, I'm getting a sick feeling about this.

a shop I worked at did that one time. Working on a Honda Civic, a $50 bill turned into a $1,000 bill because they couldn't narrow down the problem until several attempts later

I went over there (1/2 mile away) right after I talked to him, but they had gone for the day (4:30 and they're outta there). That's probably why he hung up; they were closing the shop and wanted to leave before he got another delay. This is the first time I've used THIS particular mechanic. The shop is owned by a friend of mine, and he's always given me a fair deal, but that mechanic is new to his business. Been there about a month, and comes highly recommended. We shall see!

Today I get to put a starter in the hair drier! Oh, joy!

Id have a chat with the friend and see what the mechanic is really doing. and just randomly stop by someday and see if they are workin it. Id be checking up on it and it would suck to get burned by a friends employee. makes things bitter between the 2.

I stopped there this morning. The truck was sitting outside the shop, the hood down. I figured, cool, it must be done. Nope. The mechanic (and I use that term loosely now) said "I got it so it will crank and idle, but it still bucks and cuts out when you drive it". I told him (nicely) it ALWAYS would crank and idle (sometimes a high idle, but it ran) and if that's all he's done, he hasn't really done anything yet. I asked, OK, what now? He said he's thinking about it. He better think quick. The guy said his name was Don, but I think it might actually be Ben, and his last name is Dover.

The shop owner wasn't there. I'll talk to him very soon.

I can't really be bothered to go into detail but I have 2 stories.

1. I got pulled over the other night, I was told that I was driving too slow. Typical 318 lol.
The police said that when people drive that slow they are usually looking for houses to burgle.

2. Steven told me that I should anger anyone on the road because my car isn't going to be hard to recognise.
Well I did, and I got the sliced neck action... Ha

Now theres no metallica, or distrubed to play to make the shift pass by faster.

WTF?! So I get this text message from a random local number that I don't know, just saying hi. I'm polite so I respond back, thinking maybe its someone I've met at a car show or something. Ask who it is. Responds with Kendrick. Still have no clue, so I ask what he drives (yes, that's typically what I ask people who seem to know me, I remember people by their cars); response: a Yukon. At this point I know I don't know him, and say as much. So instead of just saying ok well sorry for your time, he continues to text me. Asks my name, and my age, and where I went to highschool. I just respond with I don't know you. So THEN he asks if I have a "picture phone" (yes, direct quote), I still don't respond. Then a few minutes later, I get a picture come through. Its some random guy I've never seen in my entire life. Tired of this, I send back: I definitely don't know you and you have the wrong number! This was about ten minutes ago, and I'm still getting texts from him asking questions about me. He's sent me another picture, I guess to try to jog my memory? I'm trying not to be rude here because I hate when I mis-text a wrong number and get lip about it.... But for crying out loud. Almost to the point of just saying I'm a gay guy and put my number in his phone last night, doesn't he remember?
