Roof-mounted luggage rack*
A special rack system is available as an option
for your BMW.
The mounting points are located in the door
openings or on the roof rails*.

I'm not sure which space you're referring to but the cd changer for an E60 goes in the glovebox.

Mine are just fine, both headlights and windshield. Yours might have something plugging it up.

Turning my knob to center turns everything off. I'm not sure if that is pre-LCI or not.

You mean your headlight knob? Nope; doesn't work for me as I tried that right from the start. However, I have not tried turning it to off, and then starting the car.

It just seems weak, with 2 big streams per jet.

Will do; I didn't know how they were supposed to be. Now I do!
I wonder if I should just put a bunch of dish soap in the reservoir? I don't imagine they come out too easily to clean them manually? Thanks!

Well mine have always been just right, so I really couldnt say how to clean them. Im sure doing a search here on the 'fest would yield some pretty good info....I guess dish soap might help, but dish soap will DEFINITELY strip the wax right off of your car, so I guess if it works youll need to wax afterwards.

I'll try cleaning them with a tooth brush and see if that helps. Thanks!

I have owned my 550i for an unreal couple of days now...never experienced anything like it. a 1/4" push on the pedal brings instant ear to ear grin, as I realize what warp drive must be like My first "aha" moment is realizing I need to set up a nursery in my garage for bottle feeding the battery system. The second, was needing to double pull the door handle to open the drivers door from inside.

I need to double pull the door handle as well but only when I have the door locks automatically lock. First pull unlocks the door second pull opens the door.
Disable the auto door look function and you will only have to pull once to open it. That is how it is on mine anyways.

They include washer jet cleaner tools with most loaves of bread. Take the twist tie and pull the plastic off the metal spine. The wire can get the outside clog off. I assume there is a rubber goody down inside nozzle to do the fluidic spread of water so don't force the wire in very far at all. Just use it break the crust and gunk from nozzle outlet.

I turned the daytime running lights off and all the lights are off (with light knob on middle position) when car is running.

If you mean the center =0, that is OFF!
You want to put the switch on the left position for automatic on/off or to the right for constant on.
If you have the auto dimmer option it may be different!

Yes; center (0) is off. However, with daytime running lights activated in the iDrive, they do not turn off even on position 0.

Yep - works for maps, radio, phone - I have two buttons I use for maps - one for directions home, one for directions to work.

Preset buttons that are multifunction are LCI only, LCI cars have 6 buttons under the DVD player that can be preset to control a variety of things.

Marine: If you have an LCI car the DRL can be disabled in the iDrive, if you have pre-LCI - nope, sorry, DRL are supposed to be on whenever the car is.
