Draining battery

I have a 740i that kills the battery in a day or 2 when it is not used, I need to know what the normal current draw is with the car turned off and what to look for causing the problem. Thanks

Have the battery fully charged and tested. Get several opinions if not conclusive, it could be a number of problems, but starting with the battery and then testing other components is a good way to start troubleshooting.

Get a friend to remove fuses one at a time while you hold one of the battery leads disconnected but very close to the battery post as this will cause a spark to jump from the lead to the post or vica versa but be warned there are fuse boxes all over e38s and this will at least identify which fused circuit is draining current.
