Opinion on 06 M3
I just found a 2006 M3 Conv. at a pretty decent price from what I think is a reputable local dealer. When I went over to look at the car they said that it had just come back from the detail shop (which it obviously had because it looked flawless), and when they were cleaning the engine they had somehow fouled up some kind of coil that was causing it to miss.....wish I could be more specific but does this sound feasible.
They are taking it into the local BMW dealer for service...it's still under warranty until the middle of October. Thanks...

Yes it's possible if they flooded the engine with water to clean it. The codes should say which one was fouled. Regardless of how "reputable" you think this local dealer is, and how flawless the car looks, get a pre-purchase inspection done by an INDEPENDENT BMW shop of your choosing... not a BMW dealership.

^^ cause you're not looking hard enough. If I was looking for an M3 I would focking be on car sites 24/7 till I get one!!
OP, get that inspection done. There is a dealer by me that has nice looking cars, but they run like CRAP and their service is horrendous.
