Question 2005 BMW 325i the best 325 made?

I checked on CR and noticed that 2005 is the year that 325i has the highest rating.. why is that? I'm looking to get a 2005 or 2006 325i.. what are your experiences in these vehicles? My wife is currently driving the 2005 BMW X5 3.0 and we love it!

It is also true that the best way to buy the used 325i is through a dealer that offers these as CPO?

Thanks all!!

Probably just because it is the last E46 325i made.
  • more time for earlier problems to be worked out
  • all of them are newer than any other E46 sedans

(2006 325i is an E90)

+100... part number for part number, they're 99.9% the same as any other 2002,2003,2004 325i.

...and if problems are repaired under warranty, individuals are less likely to recall, report and emphasize them than if they pay out of pocket.
