Mein Auto: 2005 Z4
Hello to all! Newly retired and 65 years young. Just purchased a 2006 Z4 with just over 23,000 miles. First Bimmer but 3rd roadster. Previously (years ago) owned a 74 and a 79 MGB BUT driving the Z4 is an absolute joy. More power and far, far better and tighter handling making it a joy to use the entire lane yet again.

I would check with an indy shop or go to the dealer parts department and see if they will show you a diagram of the cd and where the parts are.

Mein Auto: 2013 335i M Sport
Very satisfied new BMW owner: 2013 335i M-Sport

Hi,
I have enjoyed reading this forum every since I started seriously considering my first BMW purchase. After 17 years driving a company car, e.g. Ford Taurus, Ford Edge etc., last November, I finally purchased my first BMW. I fell in love with BMW about 7 years ago, when I had a chance to drive an M3 at Laguna Seca as part of a company event. (Skip Barber racing school.) I could not justify the M Series, but could not be happier with my 335i. I added the black kidney grills and the m-Performance upgrade to make it a bit unique.
Thanks for all the great info!
Jim

Mein Auto: 2001 Z3 Roadster
New to here

Hello, I bought my first BMW about 2 years ago, I have never owned one before and probably would not now if it were not for the magnificent Z3 Roadster. This body style hit me the first time I saw it, and the M series has not been a disappointment. I did the research on the car and bought it without ever even sitting in one. I found an '01 on the net in Salt Lake, she only had 54,000 on the clock and is immaculate. It was even the color I wanted, Atlantic blue. The pure joy this car can deliver is only matched by the tickets I should have already received. Like all of these mine is a rocket, and so far I only have a few complaints which is what brought me here. I let my battery go dead, yeah. It sat all winter while I was in Hawaii. This year I am looking for another one for the winter shack on the island. It is nice in traffic and nice on small roads. The power, man the power! I will be picking brains for information. I have already re-chipped it, and she is about to get a new set of tires, I was thinking Pirelli's, is there better? Now you know why I am ere, Cheers, Bradd

Ok I am loving my new ride. But I realy need some advice on some rims for the the car. I am thinking of going with some 22" 3p rims but dont know what will look good on white. I know I dont want white rims, so chrome is all I can think of. Any ideas would help.

Thanks in advance.

1st post, long time E39 owner, 2001 530i and 1997 528i, ordered a 2014 535i MSport for European delivery on 9/13/2013. Thanks to everyone for all the valuable insight and information posted on the site. It really helped me configure the car to my needs. Now after countless hours reading thousands of posts I am looking forward to a few posts of my own.

Mein Auto: 2009 328xi
New Member - 2002 for sale.

My first BMW was a 1968 2002, purchased in 1994. I was familiar with the model from the early '70's, when I knew a couple of people who drove them. It was (and is) a good car. I used it as a daily driver for 4-5 years and actually enjoyed the maintenance and repair chores.

Over the years circumstances changed and so did my automotive needs and wants. Our family went through the minivan phase, the 2002 wound up needing some major work (during which time I got attached to a Miata), and gradually my interest in doing what I needed to do to keep the car the way it should be kept waned. Five years ago my wife and I bought a 2005 325 xi and last year traded that for a 2009 328. As much affection as I still have for the 2002, I no longer have the desire to crawl in, around, and under it; plus I really need the garage space. The old guy (the car, not me) would be better off with someone who can give it the attention it deserves.

I don't know the etiquette/protocol for advertising this vehicle for sale, but I'll try to attach some photos and await any response. Thanks for your time. Happy motoring.

New Member "Hello"

Greetings Bimmerfest friends. After 9 years of consistent BMW ownership, it\'s fine time to join the forum! Thanks in advance for all the good info. I hope that I can provide some as well. In addition to the current 3 Bimmers in the garage (M Coupe, 1, X5d), we owned a 2003 325xi and a 2005 X5 3.0. Cheers!
