Buying my first BMW
While enjoying the benefits of a company car, I really miss driving with the top down. Therefore, it's time to start looking for a weekend top-down fun machine. I targeted the 2001-2002 year 3 series just to keep the cost reasonable but after reading the huge forum responses to misc reliability issues (transmissions being one), I'm having serious doubts. Any thoughts on the issue would be appreciated (this is probably like throwing a steak in the dog pound).

Hi: I have a 2002 Z3 2.5 M-series Roadster Dakar II Yellow
I absolutely love it. Has 111,000 miles on it and drives like brand new. Heads turn everywhere it goes and I never take it out without someone commenting on it. I would like to know how many of these were made in U.S and Europe. Does anyone out there know where I would find this info? Thanks! Please respond to emml55@msn.com

2008 135i and Motorola Droid
I had two Palm smart phones that were killed by the BMW Bluetooth. The Blackberry 8130 works with it well but the phone is dumb. Has any one tried the Verizion Droid with this model? Thanks

Brunswick to Florida timing for ED?
A great time at Muenchen Welt and autobahn was had by all, but the wait for redelivery is really testing my patience. The Fedora discharged my Z4 on 18.11.09 in Brunswick. I guess customs and Ag inspection can take a couple of weeks. Has anyone experienced earlier timing?

Bought a new 2008 model BMW X5 3.0 last year November. Never had opportunity to drive the car. only 1000km in a year because I am travelling all over Africa due to my job. Came back last Sunday and the vehicle cannot start. Battery is down. Got jumper yesterday and could not get it to start after several tries.
can somebody help me!

Hi Bimmer community!
I'm new to the community and right off the bat I have a question...lol. I own a 2003 530i and absolutley love it. Recently my passanger side low beam light went out. I replaced the buld myself thanks to a post from this community but it still didn't work. I took that same buld and plugged it into the lead on the drivers side and it worked. Do I need to replace the low beam housing or is there something else I can try first. Thanks in advance, Your Bimmer brother Eric,

I have a 1988 735i and don't have pictures to post. I want to know why my instrument display gongs and says "door open" when all doors are closed. I'd also like to know how to stop the display message from showing.
