First of all, you don't know how to f.cking negotiate. Who gives a sh.t how much the monthly payment is and that fee and this fee and all this other crap. None of that silliness matters, what matters is THE TOTAL COST OF A LEASE OVER LEASE TERM. THAT is what you should negotiate, not some bloody monthly payment. Too high - too low, who cares? Monthly payment doesn't matter at all, you shouldn't even ask how much it is. It is what it is.

Second of all, what are you doing at a dealership negotiating? Don't you got email? Or phone? Call, state your offer. They take it, good, show up to take the car away. Not, move on to the next dealership. All this "negotiation" is just wasting your time and theirs. You should be at a dealership twice, no more. Once to test drive, second time to pick up the car.

Finally, I bought a car from Ricki and I got a good deal and I liked dealing with her. It was quick and easy, wham bam, thank you m'am. She had a car to sell, I liked her price that was that. You had a different experience. OK. Not everybody likes her style, I understand that. Go elsewhere.

Lol, and also this is honestly the first time in my life that I've been accussed of not knowing how to negotiate. I have to soak this moment up for a minute...

If you knew me, you would know how far from the truth that really is. I amy actually have to send your post to some of my closest friends and family so they can get a laugh too..hahah.

Also, just food-for-thought, but the dealer also tried to charge me $1299 for tire & rim insurance....Not before she had a very suspicious whispering session with the guy who handles the insurance.

If you still think the experience was honest, then Id love to hear your thoughts as to why...

Also I should have an update very soon on the price I am getting the car for.

yea, I doubt there is anything worth buying at a dealership except the car itself.

that tire & rim insurance you can get it online for like 30 bucks.

I know very little about the tire & rim insurance. I just know that I will NEVER drive a BMW again without it.

Is there any difference at all between getting it from the dealer and getting it from a website? I have to imagine there is.

I just want to be able to drop the car off at the dealer and let them take care of it. Although, Ill admit Im not sure if thats how it works even if you get it from them.

I just had (last week) my car pre-inspected for lease return by DataScan Field Services (DFS). I have a lot of curb rush on all my rims and the guy told me that BMW does not charge for that. So I’m not sure why you would need to buy rim insurance in the first place. Also, I remember when I was picking the car up from the dealer (this was 2 years ago) they offered me some sort of tire and rim protection for $5 a month but I don’t remember what that insurance covered but the cost was nowhere near $1300....

Im actually really glad that you mentioned the DFS thing, because this is exactly what the dealer told me (that they dont charge for curb rash). That was my biggest concern. Outside of my scratch.

go to http://www.dsfs.com/ - you will need inspection number and a refrence number and it will tell you excatly what you are being charged for, down to the smallest details. If you fix any of the items they have listed on the report on your own, you need to fax them a copy of the paperwork and they will make an adjustment. Otherwise it will show up on your final bill.

I dont use DataScan. I could have if I did my inspection in NY, but the NJ inspections are done by the dealer.

I was going to call you based on those recommendations, but then a deal came through and I jumped on it. I hope to do business with you some day down the road though.

The old Auto Club insurance was $27.50 / year. It's not available anymore in ca. half of the 50 states, probably the ones with potholes.

The cheapest I've seen recently is what Flow BMW has been offering at $400 for 3 years.

Auto Club, Paragon doesn't cover BMWs no matter what state you are in. My Paragon coverage is up 1/1/10 and is not renewable. Flow BMW doesn't sell the coverage any more. I now have Dealer Services On line, First Automotive,Tire and Wheel protection. $299 for 3 years Class 2 BASIC coverage up to $4,000.
