CPO Pending: the Dealer may have not purchased the contract yet or they're waiting to get it through the PDI process to see if it's mechanically competent enough to CPO and sell at a decent profit.

Carfax states certified, but dealer claims no.

if its at a BMW dealer they have done the certified inspection and it qualifies. They can choose to sell it as a certified car or not. Depends on the terms you negotite. If you buy it without certification it'll be cheaper.

Be careful

There is a big difference between a car the is illegible for CPO and one that is not.

Thanks guys. Mu wife's X5 was CPO, and this 330 is at a non BMW dealer. ( Expo Mototrcars on ebay). Nice car for the money if it was CPO. Funny how carfax lists it as certified. Glad I checked. Thanks again.
