I always go to Koko's Garage in Cambridge on MT. Auburn street. I've never been done wrong there.

Thanks guys for the reply. I think Alvin is a great mechanic, but may be on the pricier side as I was able to get some things done cheaper with no flaws from another mechanic in Westford. But I'd like to ask again if there are any members who do general work on their bmw as a hobby and proficient at it.

Filter??? What filter? On my car - my Indy drained the MTF reservoir and refilled it.. No filter was used...Charged me $25 for the labor and I bought the 2 liters of the MTF on saled from BMW Gallery Norwell for $33... The MT is shifting VERY smoothly! I Love it... Give Alvin a call. Check him out at website below...

Good Luck...

yeah i have auto, I do need to check to see what kind of tranmission I have from the green label under the car. I will give them a call to see the prices. From what I have read, it take 7 qts and does need a filter.

thanks
