peake code reader

Hi will the peake code reader get rid of the adaptations as well.
I used a generic code reader to get rid of my check engine light after i fixed my problem and after 2 days the check engine light came back on.I phoned bmw and the told me the generic ones will clear the fault but the adaptations are still stored in the memory and thats why the check engine light came back on.Im hoping the peake code reader will clear the adaptations .
