Thinking of leasing a 2009/2010 X5D

New to the forum, but have already found it to be a great resource. I've read hundreds of posts so far, and appreciate all the insight others have provided.

I'm thinking of buying or leasing a new X5, and I've got a good grip on pricing for purchases, but not sure how to negotiate the lease.

Is there a formula I should use to calculate lease terms, based off the wholesale price list above?

And did you guys ask for the $4,500 eco credit to come off of the wholesale price?

Thanks in advance!

from everything i read, teh $4500 doesn't apply to leases.

Thanks.

One problem with leasing in Illinois is you have to pay sales tax on the ENTIRE car. so if MSRP is $70k, at a 10.5% tax rate, that's $7,350 in sales tax, regardless of how long you have the lease. its pretty lame its set up this way, and i may just buy it since at least ill own the car after paying the taxes. would love to find a used one but the 2010 (with new i drive) probably won't have a good used selection for a while.

decisions, decisions...

You CAN get the 4500 on a lease - I'm picking up my custom ordered X5d in 3 weeks. But you MUST have the paperwork signed by Aug 31 to take advantage of the 4500 "eco-credit."
