Most practicle Ipod interface for a 2005 645Ci

Hello all,
I just became a member with the purchase of a slate grey 2005 BMW 645CI and I am in love with it.

I have searched multiple threads and have not really come to any conclusion for a good interface for either an ipod or iphone.

I am simple and am only looking for good sound vs. the bad sound you get with an fm modulator.

The best option I have seen so fay seems to be a auxilory jack that can be had at Bavarian Auto for around 70 bucks. Here is the link:

http://www.bavauto.com/shop.asp

Is there a better solution at a reasonable price?

Thanks for any help and can't wait to learn more about the car.
Pelle

The FM modulator sucks, it makes sound quality horrible and makes the music sound full of static. Find an oem bmw ipod integration kit. I just picked one up for 150 on ebay. its worth the extra money.
If you get te aux jack i think you still have to plug it in the cigarette lighter.

iPod intergration Kit

I just recently purchased my first BMW 645 Ci (its the only BMW I have ever driven and fell in love with it). Recently had a dealership install the ipod intergration unit and while updating the software the computer crashed, car wouldnt even start afterwords. Currently waiting for parts to come in that will fix the problem, hopefully this week! Man I miss that car. Anyone else hear of other similar problems with the software upgrade for iPod.
THANK GOD FOR THE WARRANTY

iphone Intergration

I'm new to the club also, my first BMW... 645 ci.

I'm trying to decide what to do also as far as adding my iphone as an audio source.

I have been told....

The AUX in jack is just that and doesn't show the iphone songs in the cars display or charge the phone. It is an audio source in only.

The integration kit is a little pricey, it does charge the phone, but it plugs into a "stand" instead of a cable with the iphone connector on it. That is a problem if you use a case or "otter box" on your phone since it will not fit into the stand?

In my perfect world the iphone would be integrated with a cable and iphone connector.

I'm I being told correctly?
