X3 Color?

Best colour was Mystic blue but BMW discontinued that after 2006. Montego Blue is a bit light for my tastes but it's the most appealing of the colours to me.............I think. I'd likely go with Carbon Black metallic which is available with the limited M sport editions in Europe.

I don't like anything silver or gray on any BMW except Platinum Gray on the 525i.

I am a bit biased, but Mystic Blue looks the best IMO. With the choices you mentioned, White would be my next choice as long as it has the Aero kit or painted bumpers. I have never been a fan of silver colors so those are the last colors I would choose on your list, but BMW's do look good in silver.

I agree with Mystic...really growing on me. I can get a steal on an 08 (sport package) but it has sand leather and I don't like that color combo (and neither does anyone else since it's not selling!).

The blue with gray leather looks really sharp!

I also like white/black or white Gray, but my wife would take it if I got white and I'd take her silver one.

I didn't like the silver gray enough to jump on the 06 CPO, even though it was a steal.

Poor color selection is a downfall of the X3 line in my opinion. If I had it to do over again, I would probably go with Highland Green. You don't see it coming and going. I have sliver grey metallic. It's pretty but I would have preferred a more interesting color. As is, I picked the one I could kind or warm up to rather than picking one I really liked. They don't make a color I really like in the X3

I personally like the look of X3s in White and Mystic blue---but they need to have dark interior. All the ones I usually saw on the lot had tan or grey interior...and light interiors and I don't mesh well.

I, nonetheless, have a bias preference for silver-grey as well. ha.

Black and regular silver--more at the bottom...

Platinum Bronze wasn't too bad on the X3 in my opinion, but more often than not, it was paired with Beige leather and light wood trim, which made it a bit.........I don't want to say the word, but it's just like a 325i with Barbera Red and Beige.

Bluewater Metallic '06. kind of a weak color imo, but it does grow on you (in a good way).

The best looking color is the one on whatever car I currently own. :-) It's white, and I was flattered by the ambulance metaphor - now I have a reason to drive fast. Actually I think white tempers the Bangle creases (shadows being less obvious), which are otherwise almost over the top on the X3. So think about the subtle effects of different colors too. You're going to have to look at this car for a few years.

I almost always buy cars used, so condition is the primary consideration. For color, I'll say "anything but black". Who wants to try to keep a black car washed?

+1. That was our 2004. We went the other direction for the '08 - crimson (non-metallic) red with the two-tone interior.

Me two The metallic black actual sparkles in a multitude of colors when washed properly and with the now rare tobacco brown I even had an owner of a Carrera S4 give it an approving nod.

Plus washing and cleaning my car is a nice place of Zen for me. I had a silver metallic one and it never got a second glance.

I personally have a bias towards Silver Gray , but Titanium is in second and Alpine is in third.
