i could post pics but i already know the body isnt clean enough for your tastes..

btw whats wrong with a respray?
ill just keep looking locally.

the qualty of a respray is hard to tell. but considering everything on your car is painted, as if they didnt take the time to remove anything properly. i doubt its a job done up properly. and the last thing i want is to finish the car and have the paint screwed up.

You should see steves tires on his red car. pretty beast.

about the toyota. 88 was the year that came with a 6cyl...it has a 4... im mind boggled as to how that happened. it shifts real smooth. also has no tach, lol. only temp gauge/speedometer/fuel gauge. apparently back when these were made toyota used ****ty steel, with no tungsten. so it would rot away quickly. it was garage kept for about 8-10 years and got worse. it's only on the bed though, no where else. both sides same spots. i might try to find another bed and get the truck repainted. e30 comes first though.

Ive seen those old yota's go through more **** with all season tires than some lifted/built jeeps on the technical trails were we drive

I've also seen them tip upside down, roll down the hill and then catch on fire, but that was an isolated incident

It's the 22RE http://www.4x4wire.com/toyota/faq/parts/

I think the chain driven transfer case was only available in the 6 cyl version. I can't find much info on it at all. From what I think I can gather, is my motor is the 2.4L I4. If you find info on it please do let me know more about the truck and engine ****. I can't find a damn thing on it. It runs pretty strong, we'll see what Steve the critic has to say later, gotta take him to get wood.

It's a 6 lug, LOL. 4cyl..6 lug..lol.

my old yota 2.4 ran forever, no probs. great engine...wish i hadn't sold it... had all the rust cut out and repainted, but it just rusted around the patches. find a japanese bed and you're good. american beds are just crap.

finding a rust free one is the issue.
