OK, Mr. one upper, "do something at your shop and stop showing us pics". We are checking out a 160k mile clean titled, complete 88 m3 next week with the original s14, at the interior shop now getting all new skin. Rebuilding four motors with Diamond pistons, MLS gaskets, studs, two of which are getting boost, two are BMW's, two are GM's, turbo m20 coming in a ew weeks, after the 318-m52 swap and coil over 85 327i

Just ribbin ya, man, let's see if you can take it like you dish it....

OH, BTW, shop had it's re-opening Tue, w00t! (edit: three weeks, almost four spending not making hurts the wallet )

How many of those motors are actually yours? And I can take what you dish.

Personally own 6 cars, one engine is mine, one is the race car, two are customers.

trying to work a deal on an e36 m3, tried to get the vin #s, but was too dark. it's a vert (wife likes, me not as much). and i didn't know for sure, but m3 auto ? again, wife likes, me not so much. it would be hers, so this would allow me to 5 speed the e30 (yea!!)

will hopefully be picking up my next project tomorrow. assumign i can get someone to loan me a truck .. since uhaul says im not allowed to tow an e30 with my e30

Just sign the waiver. They told me my Firebird and car hauler/car out-weighed my truck and I wasn't allowed, shoed them 1il liability, signed the waiver, on my way I went.

they wont do anything like that. he said under no circumstance could he allow me to use my car to pull that trailer off the lot.

Maybe it was because I have commercial insurance with towing coverage?



I feel the guy wants too much money for the m3, got pics, Oil is spewing everywhere from the tired engine, but he is replacing the entire interior. One o the other guys at the shop is still interested...

your insurance outside of uhaul shouldnt have anything to do with uhauls terms of use.

picked up the new project car. ill clean it out and post some pics eventually

when parked on an angle with my driver's door facing downhill, it starts leaking gas from the driver's side. Hooray.

thats a very common leak. check your seals on the top of the gas tank

wow wtf.. I tested it out and it only leaks on that angle. I'm down visiting my GF in madison, nowhere to park or work on it. Guess I'll just find flat ground to park on for the weekend

the 2 ive seen do it only did it when the passenger side was jacked up. found my buddys when i was doing his brakes, strong smell i traced back to the large puddle of gas flowing out of his tank

Ahem, mister, it was when the drivers side was jacked up and I found it while you and Pat were eating burgers his dad made. Because I was flipping out that there was a gas smell and I leaned down to a few drops hitting my face when I had a cigarette in my mouth.

i dont remember that, but i dont doubt thats how it went down. i just remember doing the passenger side and watching pat try to catch the gas in plastic cups .. which the gas melted into his driveway

it was a pretty steep incline that I was parked on, so I'm too worried about it becoming an issue.

I also gotta jack my car up when it gets done pouring out, I believe my drop hats are causing my suspension to bind when I turn sharply (parking lots etc..). A couple members have had to grind down a part of the hat to prevent this, and I was really hoping I wouldn't have to, but oh well, shoulda done it as a precaution..

Gotta love Florida. 82 degrees and sunny, but hot in the shop, even after installing a 1500cm exhaust fan in the ceiling haha.

Just bought a rebuilt Vortec SBC long block for $200, heads alone are worth $150, the crank kit is $230

steve... this is why you need a jeep
uhaul lets me tow e30's all the time
and I ALWAYS say 1984 318, because it isnt in there system and it lets you input all the info yourself
meaning you can say the car weighs 1800 lbs
(which they will let you tow with anything)
try it, i promise it works

id never buy a jeep ugly, and not great at anything. id prefer an old chevy pickup, or an x5 .. mainly because it would really piss my mom off if i used an x5 as a beater.

ok as long as the X5 is a diesel!
otherwise... yes jeeps are ugly... but they are CHEAP, parts are CHEAP, they are EASY TO FIX, and they can tow SH!T
