E30 (1982 - 1993)
God's Chariot. The E30 was produced primarily from 1982 through 1991. The cabriolet was the one exception which was produced through 1993.

My Rabbit gti has a collapsed gas tank. the lining inside of the tank expanded and had detatched from the tank. So ordered a new on. 89 bucks. Vw parts are cheaper then e30 parts. E30 parts are the pretty much the cheapest bmw parts you can get. M52 parts are about twice as expensive.

Oh! With all that whining earlier. Little note to make. Still have the stock full spare rim and never changed tire. Rubber is super hard but not dry rotted. the car is also amzingly clean. I think i could easily resell it for 5k and i pickedit up for 3,700. Not as good a find as Steve but still a sweet car. Not sure what I'll do with it yet. Possible 1.8t swap out of a 03 20th aniv. Gti. Its pretty slow. With its 1.8.

He still comes around from time to time. Steve would know his where abouts. Not that it matters to me.

It's not that bad And I'm gonna assume you have plans for a manual swap in the future?

I want a manual to I almost had the complete swap cheap until someone stole money while I was on vacation.

Does anybody know the hp rating on a m30? My buddy has a fresh built m30 lightly modded 5 speed e28 and my auto 325e pulled on him pretty quick

there is like 8 different m30's. ranging from 150hp to 218hp. the e28 also weighs like 700lbs more than an e30.

i have a complete manual swap here. i just don't want to modify a car that has remained stock for over 20 years.

Oh I see. I was really surprised I have 230k on the stock motor. And he has 20k maybe, and 5 speed.

And good call on keeping her original, guessing your plans are making money off whitey?

I want a manual swap because I love my car and already know it inside and out so I would much rather put the 5 speed in myself then then just getting a new E30 that I don't know the history of. Plus I don't plan on getting rid of my car unless I have to. I got it for basically 400 dollars so either way I'm not losing much on devaluing the originality of it.

1. I really love the e34 and its build quality. They are very comfortable and spacious. Plus they look great with some light exterior mods. Used to drift with my buddy's 530i/5 Heavily dinan modified and that was a beast.

2. If you were talking about me winning, I was thinking the same thing but trust me that thing is running great. Just got rebuilt. Air intake, exhaust upgrades. I helped him when he first got it to check it out and its crazy you could eat off the inside of the motor its so clean. I guess that doesn't really prove that it runs good but its very healthy.
I couldn't believe it because for one i'm Auto and two 230k miles.
Guess we will have to try again sometime.

It's nothing about the E34 in general. It was about that specific car I was looking at. All the panels and buttons were falling out, trash everywhere in the car, A/C made a god awful noise when you tried to turn it on, and none of the windows worked. The only plus about it was the motor. It was freshly rebuilt from the ground up and he said it had like 2,000 miles on the motor.
