the non-step is the front of the wheel. the stepped pictures is of the barrel reversed. i have the barrels painted the same color as the faces.

sorry i forgot they were multi piece. i dont deal much with multi piece rims since in most places dot wont allow them. or maybe thats bead locks. i forgot

your thinking bead locks. bead locks are illegal in a ton of places. multi-piece wheels arent illegal anywhere.

ok. but then that brings up a question, way are bead locks illegal, when they hold the bead in place, while multi piece if installed wrong, can send a tire into traffic yet alone the metal shards from the center peice?

never heard of a multi-piece wheel falling apart. they are much stronger then a 1 piece wheel. ive seen 1 piece rotas torn to shreds at the spokes.

well that does make more sense. whats the torque on those things? i had a set of bead locks that were 80ftlbs and when theres 25 per wheel, your arm is pretty dead by the end of it all

well .. i got very bored today.

so i took this boring, dirty oil filter housing cap



slapped it on the lathe



and some time later



what are the gains?function?purpose of what i did ?.. fins were for a little extra cooling in the cap,but i have a nice 19 row aluminum oil cooler and a euro 24v oil filter housing to keep my boosted build cool. the shaved cap has no purpose other then to hold/seal the filter inside the housings.

i also was working on test pieces so i could get my flat tubed euro cooler lines in the housings to -10AN lines like my oil cooler has. id rather not spend $70 on the adapter kit knowing i could make the same parts for about $15. will post pics of that whenever i get serious work done on it. today all you get is the messing around with the ofhc

Anyway, first of the pictures. on the far right is a Hartge E30 fresh out of the paint booth. not sure why it rolls on bottlecaps still though but it looks nice. he was late and i saw it rolling a few cars behind me to the Naval Grounds and thought it was an M3 coz all i could see was the wing!
On the left hand side is my mate Wills car, immaculate condtion, ive never seen a car so well preserved. no faults at all except being M40 Auto

is that all who showed up ?
