God's Chariot. The E30 was produced primarily from 1982 through 1991. The cabriolet was the one exception which was produced through 1993. |

Went and did it.
Pulled the trigger and picked up an 89' 325ci. Super clean, 110K on the clock. So far I love it! So classy looking, turns more heads than the dime-a-dozen new bimmers on the road.
AC isn't working, it's missing a belt. So, either it's just the belt (I wish), or the belt was removed because of a bad compressor. So likely, I'll be needing a compressor. Anyone recommend a good place to pick up parts for this car? I'm interested in stuff like, a compressor, some interior parts, whatever clip holds the drivers side under-dash up (it keeps falling down on my legs) and possibly a set of OEM BBS wheels from the E30 generation, or newer knockoff BBS that look like the old ones did. I'm not gonna mod this car, just keep it looking classy. Some pics:

 This e30 is now being parted out. NO body panels are for sale, bumpers/fenders/hood/mirrors/valance or front turn signals. Everything else is up for grabs. Euro grills/cluster are sold, suspension/brakes/LSD/rear tails are already spoken for.

It spent most it's life sitting in a garage. One owner, she kept every reciept since 1989. I found mice poops in the airbox. lol

congrats on the find, check craigslist and ebay for the rims, what you're looking for are commonly referred to as "basketweaves".
In this thread there's a discussion of where to find parts about midway through that pretty much covers it: http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...errerid=103129 Finally, I wouldn't worry too much about A/C in a vert, especially in New York. I used to drive a Wrangler when I lived in maryland and the only time I used the A/C in it was when I was too lazy to take the top down, and I don't think that would be much of an issue with an e30. Just my .02

It's light, simple design is rugged enough to run against $400k rally cars, but on the street it' communicative chassis delights even the most disinterested driver. It really is one of the world's ultimate driving machines

I believe the rims on the right are "Ronal LS's" (steve will know better) they are the best looking wheel IMO if you cant afford OEM BBS RS's. However, they are no longer for sale in the US so you need to go onto ebay.uk. The have a deeper lip than the basketweaves.
