A 2009 Z Homecoming in Greenville - 09/04 & 05

In case you don't know, the Atlanta ZSCCA group had a Homecoming event here in Greenville on Friday and Saturday. It worked out great for me since I had to forfeit my Cincinnati reservation and remain in Greenville for family business.

The event started Friday at noon with lunch at the plant with Kenn Sparks. Kenn was happy to visit with us and treated us to a VIP lunch. Later we had cocktails at the Manager's Reception at Embassy Suites, and then out to dinner at Joe's Crab Shack and a few other local restaurants via the Embassy shuttles.

Saturday brought a picnic and group picture at Greer's new City Hall facility in downtown Greer. There were approximately 25 cars for the picture. Twenty cars then departed for a three hour mountain drive led by David Weeks from the Upstate SC ZSCCA. After the Embassy Manager's reception we all went to Rivera's in Greer and enjoyed a great dinner, fellowship, car tales, and meeting.

A good time was had by everyone, and there's talk of doing it again next year. For more information and possibly some pictures, check the Atlanta Z club website at www.AtlantaZ3.com. Many thanks go to Greg Paul for putting this event together.

Just a +1 on Dwayne's description.

But I need to add what a great group of people the AtlantaZ3'ers are. You immediately feel you are with friends and are part of the "group."

This was my first event with AtlantaZ3'ers - it won't be my last.
