My point is that the 3.0-liter turbo diesel likely won't make it under the hood of the 3 Series (as of today, it won't).

This is fantastic news I hadn't seen yet. Thanks for sharing it.

Previous comments by BMWUSA folks were that the 2L will be introduced first, and that both 4 and 6 cyl diesels would be over here sometime in 2013. Coupling that with the photo shown above, I would guess that we see the F30 320d followed by the F31 330d, F10 530d, and X5 xdrive30d next year. I'm looking forward to that!
