750Li Dinan tune or 760Li

I am currently in an 09 750 Li. Love it but lacks that extra power I am looking for. I was debating doing Dinan Stage 2 tune or going with a 760Li. Anyone have experience in both cars like this or good insight.

Get a BMS Tune, try that, and if it doesn't work, test drive a 760.

Even if you take just half of the feedback about them on this forum into account, Dinan does not have a strong reputation with their latest product offering.

The 760 is heavier, I'd get a Alpina B7 or M6 GC. You could get a LWB xDrive Alpina for about the same price, or a pretty heavily optioned (sans Ceramic brakes) M6 GC Individual.

Sounds pretentious, but the 760 looks identical to the 750, if I was paying a 40k premium, I want something to look 40k different.

Dinan stage 2, if installed correctly, will be a much more fun car than a 760.

The N63 shows only a 25hp and 40tq gain to be expected. That does not seem like enough. I am looking for a min of 75hp.

Roll the dice with Dinan. Always a gamble. Sometimes it pays.

When C&D dyno'd the 2013 B7, they only got 414rwhp. Jump to 6 min for dyno run:

In terms of power to weight:

Aplina B7 LWB

4810lbs/476hp (as dyno'd by C&D) = 10.1 lbs/hp

760Li

5015lbs/535hp = 9.4 lbs/hp

750Li (with dinan/bms tune)

4631lbs/ ~485 hp (as dyno'd by M4XBMW7) = 9.5 lbs/hp

Great info right there and I se that they are using 15% drivetrain loss per results ? I would add another 15-20 HP to the alpina's AWD loss.

I say Alpina is what you are looking for. I test drove one, and it feels a lot faster than my Dinan Stage 5. By the way, 760Li + chip tuning will give you 750+ horsepower, think about that

760 or B7 can be good option but the "F" chassis is at the end of design cycle so I would wait for the "G" if possible. For now if going after power, I would suggest the new MB AMG S65/S63, Audi S8 or even the XJ Supersport.

Hello everyone.
I am looking to possibly purchase an 09 750iL with M package. I'm trying to compare it to a newer MB S class where i can get a simple flash and get +80hp and +90tq.
I am surprised to see that to this day 09 750 has limited tuning options and such small gains. i would think that with stage 1 tune you could get 500HPs easily.
Am i just not searching hard enough or there are truly very limited number of places that could to an ECU tune? And small gains at that?

Any info would be greatly appreciated.
