E30 (1982 - 1993)
God's Chariot. The E30 was produced primarily from 1982 through 1991. The cabriolet was the one exception which was produced through 1993.

motronic or 1.1 seems to be both...

my manual says a motronic 1.1 was used after 3/87. it is also distinguishable by the abscence of a cold start. the fuel pump itself is located in the tank only. my 6/87 325is has a cold start, external fuel pump located above the fuel filter, and the access hole (rectangular) shows me a 3 prong terminal for a pump, and another plug for the fuel level sending unit. there is also an extra hose compared to the photo. so which is it, motronic, or motronic 1.1 . i am having a few random issues with fuel delivery, but never been stranded. i am starting with the fuel pump relay, its just $23 and it seems to be possibly original.

thanks

What was the point of that info? It seems like you just wanted to tell us what was on your mind.

See where, in the second to last line, he says, "Which is it, Motronic or Motronic 1.1?"
That's a question.
