Where is the Transmission Control Unit (TCU)?

Passenger side of the engine compartment. Pull the black cover with 4 screws aft by the firewall. Look inside there... You are looking for the TCM/EGS

Should look something like this......

Actually that's the ABS module you have labeled as the TCM. The TCM is located inside behind the passenger side kick panel behind the speaker.

Mine is a 92 525. Trust me, I had to replace the TCU already when I swapped transmissions.
