Been there many times. Did you check out the bunkers? There are some corridors in there that are PITCH black. Eery as hell.

I was going to go exploring with one of the many Marks there, but I was so tired that I just went right to bed after the poster session. He told me later it was indeed very cool, freaky as hell, old bunkers and old used cannon, etc. I'll have to go back; I didn't realize it was so close to Port Townsend, or I would have gone earlier!
