"Premium" sound; questions

My '08 has the "premium" sound system. There are two "features" I would love to disable, if anyone here can tell me how to do it:

(1) the automatic lessening of volume as you slow down;

(2) on the rare occasions I listen to a cd, it seems there is some automatic pause between tracks, with an associated audible "click" between the songs.

Can these "features" be sent packing?

Not sure about your second question but the first one regarding the speed volume is definitely adjustable. I think you press and hold either the the music symbol button, or the "m" button until the menu to adjust the speed volume comes up. I believe your options or 1 to 3 (3 being most incremental change) - use the arrows to adjust up and down.

This is at least the way it works for my 05 with the business cd

The speed dependent volume is adjustable from 1 (off) to 6 (max) by holding the tone button (music note).

There is no setting for pauses between tracks. This likely has something to do with your CD. My CD player glides seamlessly between tracks. I love it when some CDs have songs that blend from track-to-track because I never hear the transition!

Buffering

Question on # 2.

Are they burned or store bought CD's?

If they are burned update your drivers for your software application.

That sounds like a buffering issue to me.

Thanks, folks. I'll look into both issues when I get my X3 back from the dealer - the sunroof broke yesterday!
