Headlights refinished

I had a guy come out today and refresh my headlights for $130. Pretty much a few sanders, polishes, and secret spray. I also think his awesome tatoo helped in clearing up the lenses. He had a tool that could do the inside but has never used it before. Its a metal wrapped with something and you put a magnet on the outside and it applys 35lbs of pressure. He was very hush hush on everything but here are some pics. Better than $1500 to replace! I am still working on the exhaust vid. Hopefully posted soon!

all finished!

I will probably get a set. There is the smallest of condesation in the left but its so minor i did not want to be a ginea pig for the $70 additional bucks. I was happy with the outcome. Also, the AE's are the $30 ebay lights.

your headlights before this looked terrible, mine look bad also and need refinishing too. it's also amazing how headlights can make your car look old or like new

The guy and the spider. It took about 10-15 mins to get bumper off. It looked very easy. The whole process seemed simple, I am sure the different polishes and "secret water compound" played a part though. He did about 4-5 different grit of sand paper before polishing them.

inside people think my car is new, but the lights made it look so old. I was tempted to get euro headlights but happy with the $130.

Front bumper removal pictures with descriptions here. It's very easy and pretty quick (15 mins or less).

probably not that far. If you call your dealership, I guess this is the new thing and the headlight restoration is a new car service being offered around the country now.

I had a black 02 and now I have a silver 03. I really really miss the black. I think it and white with black interior are the best colors on these. I have the flannel gray interior and I HATE IT! Shows everything and its starting to wear and looks sh!tty no matter how much leather moisturizer I put on it

wow, looks awesome. I can't believe the bumper cover has to come off to get at the light assemblies. $130 is ridiculously worth it.

He could have done them without pulling the bumper and mask off the painted areas but I told him to go ahead and pull it to be safe.

You miss your black bimmer but i'm sure you dont have to wash the silver as much as you had to wash the black one.

so true but to me, even a crusty black 7 is nicer than a clean silver one. I was so rushed when I bought it, really sucks now! Trying to make the best of it.

Nice job, but I got the same results from the 3M kit for $22. and a $5. roll of blue masking tape. It was easy and fun to do.
