Integrated Supply Module (IVM)

I wanted to share this small success story. For so time now my 750Li has been acting up with no cranks, trans faults, stalling and rough idles. I wish i can claim the right answer but i read it on a totally different website. After many trips to the dealer and all kinds of so called answers like a 1. flat spot in my starter. 2. trans control module. 3. new battery. oh and lets not forget the 4. battery needs to be registered. The real problem in my case was what is called an Integrated Supply Module aka IVM. I purchased it from the dealer which had 4 in stock (wonder why)...for $107.24 tax included. It is totally a DIY job. Located on the pass side of the car under the cabin air filter box which is in the engine compartment along the firewall. A flat head screwdriver, 1/4 inch ratchet with allen socket(could also use an allen key) and 15 minutes of your time is all it takes to fix all three of those issues I mentioned. Well that worked for my car. Hope it can help you too if you are in the same boat.
