Is This a Sin?

I just purchased a 1978 320i. I live in Buffalo NY and I plan on driving my new toy in the winter. Am I offending the gods by doing this? I know its rear wheel drive and I'm going to get 4 snows for the car, give it a Rhino rust protection spray, bu I need to drive it through one winter. I figure its a German cars they have harsh winters... What do you folks think?

i drove BMW's from that era when I was stationed in Germany in the 80's. For really heavy snow in the mountains I used chains. If studded snow tires are OK in Buffalo, I would seriously consider them.

re corrosion: if you can get to a carwash that does the underbody every couple of weeks, then you should be alright.
