SES P1444 and P1450 Fuel System codes

I have two SES codes of P1444 and P1450. I cleared the codes hoping they would magically go away, but unsurprisingly they came back. Interestingly, they came back only after driving the car for a few seconds. They would not come on while idling.

These are the descriptions I've found for the codes:

P1444 Diagnostic Module Tank Leakage (DM-TL) Pump Control Open Circuit
P1450 Diagnostic Module Tank Leakage (DM-TL) Switching Solenoid Open Circuit

From researching, it seems the fuel system is pressurized by 1-2 psi. My first thought is the gas cap. It is secure, tight, and I turned it past the click. I'm hoping it's just a leaking cap, but I've yet to get a replacement. Any other suggestions?

Thanks. -Justin

The evap system is tested when starting up, and will trigger the SES light if it detects a leak.

By all means, get a new cap, but you may have to tear into the system, which lives behind the left rear fender liner.

I just wanted to follow up on this thread. Thanks to Ed's reply mentioning the left rear fender liner, I remembered that I had the left rear tire blowout a few months ago. It must have damaged the leak detection pump and caused it to fail. I had it replaced and the codes were gone.
