Anyone Conceal Carry in their X3?
Just wondering...and if so, do you store it in the X3 or keep it on your body. Just got a new X3 and our CCW permits are on the way! Looks like there are a few good places to store the firearm in the X3.

In Texas you can conceal carry in your vehicle without a permit. I keep my .40 under the seat a lot of the time. Plenty of space, quick access, etc.

You can actually do that here too. Since I don't have my CCW quite yet, I just worry about leaving it in the car when I go into a store, etc. What do you think about the center console. Was also looking at the storage compartment where the NAV would go. I don't have the NAV so it is empty. This may be a stupid idea once I look into it further, but just a thought.

You can also add another first aid kit box under the driver's seat and store it there.

Seeing as how US-spec non-European Delivery vehicles don't even have one, I suggest this as well. Passenger (default) or driver's seat work since both have the holes for the screws.

First aid box is a great idea. The empty nav compartment on the dash not so much. It does get hot there LOL! The top part of the center console lid might work, depending on the size of your iron. Unfortunately in this state none of the above is possible. So I carry a can of Wasp & Hornet spray just in case.

It won't fit a full size handgun with holster. I've tried with my cz75.

Glad to see we have some gun guys on this board. I think I would have gotten more fearful responses if I was on a Lexus board! Thanks for the ideas. We have a Glock 27 and a Glock 22. I think the 27 should fit nicely in the places listed!

Just wish Wisconsin had a Conceal Carry Permit!! 1 of 2 states that won't allow it. Damn politicians.
I agree that the First Aid kit would be the best place for "concealment" if the handgun fits, but how accessible is it from the driver's seat? ie can you simply reach down open it up and get the gun out? |

Hey glock, whats up... I certainly, certainly hope that that was not some sort of cheap shot or any sort of defamation towards another board member. Not really sure what his city has to do with anything. And I am also hopeful that you serve in some sort of law enforcement that you would feel the need to carry a concealed handgun...
I have been trying to avoid this entire thread, I probably have nothing useful to contribute and based on the amount of other board members who are card-carrying, proud members of the NRA, all's I can say is WTF??? I know the old adage, guns don't kill people, just like a spoon didn't make oprah fat... I just pray that in a heightened time of adrenaline running through your body when you see something going down, that all of you are of level headed thinking. In this country, we have a police force for a reason, I will leave my life and my trust in them to do their job... and in a case like you quoted, do you really believe your the man to "take out" some deranged suicidal gunman? I submit to you, that makes you no better and if you were to do that, you'd probably spend the rest of your years behind bars. I'm a certainly not trying to start a debate on right vs wrong or the arguments of why to carry a firearm, I just had to speak my piece.

Don't get me wrong. I am a card carrying NRA member and raised in a Military household. But your link really doesn't give a good reason for a CCW. It actually shows why there needs to be stricter laws. And I own sevaral sidearms (that are locked in an off site location). I think this kind of conversation is better saved for a Guns and Ammo website.
