Don't know about those, but LEDs gave me nothing but headaches. If they worked they didn't draw enough current and gave me constant warning indications.

Hi,

just buy the LED Plate-Lights from 1 Series (Faclift Modell). You have only to cut a piece of plastic from the connector. It fits perfect an ther will appear no warning in the BC.

I have done this on my own 6 Series

Buy it from E92 lighting (http://www.e92-lighting.com/products...RA-301-26.html)

Perfect fit, no modifications, no error codes. Only issue is that the light may be too bright!

Just saw some pics of it installed on a 6er. I think that since there is no bumper "stopping" the led lights reflection from hitting the ground, it will probably not look as good as it would on a 3 series or 5 series, where the bumper is positioned right after the license plate so that the light doesnt light up the road too.

guys that link you put up of the one from e92 lighting is the same exact thing that i ordered. IT simply does not work. The connection does not fit, even when using that little adapter cord, there just isnt a place to hook up to.
would like more info on the led lights from the 1 series

Hi,

Part number: 63267193294 --> $15.33

please be prepared, that it is neccesary to cut a piece of plastic from the LED Housing.
It is one year ago, but it was simple. You will need a Tool like a file or a "Dremel"

Greetings from Munich / Germany

Simon

Only the LED-Lights from the 1 Facelift-Series will fit! There is allready a electronic resistor integrated, that the BC will not bug you.

When you have both Parts (old an new one) in your hands, you will see a small Plastic-nose on the new one -remove it. So that the new part looks exactly like the old part.

63267193293 is for:
1Series E82
3 Series, E90, E91, E92, E93 ---->WRONG!

63267193294 is for:

This is not the right Part Number! You will need 63267193294 (!!!)
The Size of the needed Part is much longer then the size of the wrong Part!

You can trust me, the Part number above is exactly what you need! Do NOT try to use other Parts, they will not fit!

I just ordered this light from the local BMW dealer and It will be here later this week. He said it came up on his system for a Z4 and not a 1 series.

I will post back with my success or failure to get it to fit.

I bought the same one from e-92 lighting. Not only did the plug not match but when I push the light in place it would not remain in, it would slowly pop back out. I returned it and got my money back after having to continuously call him for my refund.

I think for the 6er, you can't go with R-Dash ones because it will be TOO BRIGHT and the light will light up the road. I think this will look bad as you don't want to light up the road behind you since they are so bright (atleast I wouldn't).

Its best to go with some less bright LED light, anyone know of something thats not as bright as the R-Dash brand?
