1995 525I starter won't crank

Hi,

I love this car enough to have put 120K on it, now has 233K.

Yesterday the starter didn't work. No solenoid click heard at the starter. Battery was dead< charged it
rolled it down the hill and pop started in second gear>ran perfect
shut it off< tried to restart no starter

what am I missing here?

tx

The engine runs so fuse 17 is obviously good. It is still remotely likely the ignition is bad at start. You should put your money on the starter. But trickle charge the battery full first.
