Z3 with 19" Rims?

I am thinking about looking at a 2002 3.0 Z3.

It comes with 19" rims. I was wondering if there would be clearance issues with this size of rim? I imagine that it that it is going to have a fairly harsh ride as well.

As long as the tire is the correct size and the wheel has the correct offset then there is no reason they would rub.

If the wheels are already on the car, it must be working?

The car doesn't look like it has rub issues. If in doubt you can feel the fender liners just inside the wheel well lip to see if they're smooth. The liners are easily abraded if there's rubbing. You do get a harsher ride on the 19s but not to the degree that it should deter you, it's a popular wheel size, especially with Z coupe owners. I looked at the full listing, there is no such thing as an M sport package, non BMW dealers think that there is because of the M on the steering wheel and shift knob, but all late model Z3s have that and there is nothing else M about it.

While those really don't look too bad (except for all the grease on the sidewall__SLIPPERY!), in general, too large a wheel/tire combination will hurt performance rather than enhance it. You have to get those big wheels rolling, stopped and the suspension has to work harder to keep them in contact with the road.

Yes, the Z4Ms may have come with BIG wheels, and do just fine, but the older Z3s were not engineered with that in mind. Unless you plan on running any kind of competitive events, like autocrossing, it doesn't make too much difference.
