Have a Red Hardtop and a silver Car. Wanted to take out the headliner for painting and also because it has a few drooping areas, got the plastic rivets out ok and the back trim piece. How do you remove the two rear mounting brackets, i cant seem to figure out how to remove the spikes so I can get the headliner past them?

You can bend the headliner a bit to get around those, as I recall.

Thanks I have the TIS forgot all about it have not used it in 3 years. Vinci you are right per the TIS there are four velcro strips at the headliner at the top of the rear window, you then pull the headliner forward past the rear mounting handles. Will try again in the AM.
