Mein Auto: 2002 M Roadster
2002 Z M roadster top howls

My top starts making a howling wind noise at around 80 mph. It sounds like its coming from the top of the windshield. I checked the gasket and it seems ok. Anyone have an idea on how to fix it. It's very noisy and gets louder the faster you go.
Tks, JoeyS

It's the gasket around the windshield. Likes to howl starting at about 82 mph, right?

A re-glue of the gasket helps. I needed to replace my windshield because of a rock encounter, and my howl was silenced.

The aerodynamics shift between the howl with the soft top and with a hardtop on. It seems worse with the hardtop on -- although that may be because the car is quieter overall with the hardtop on.

Thanks, Is their a special glue?
I hate to give the bmw shop any work unless it's out of my DIY abilities.
