'04 X3 - Issues with aux input

Hi all. Hoping someone will have some sort of input on this matter. I installed a Blitzsafe module for my iPod/iPhone into the factory CD changer wiring with zero issues (it sounds great) but recently tried installing aux input with no luck. Again, a Blitzsafe module, which plugs into the back of the stereo with 2 RCA female leads. Everything seems to work fine (stereo recognizes aux input) until I plug in an audio source. Once a source is connected the stereo fails to recognize an aux input. I contacted the vendor and they sent me a new module...I've replaced the cables with several sets...ans still, no luck. Please help

I also have a 04 X3. I have a Sirius Stiletto 2 Satellite radio that I wanted to play thru the AUX on my radio. I purchased an input cable from Bavauto for about $40. It installed very easily, the radio came out in less than 15 minutes. The directions for wiring came with the kit and are easy o follow. Works fine should last a long time.
click this link for you tube instructions for radio removal

Not familiar with Blitzsafe, but ....

if you mean that you have just installed the separate $40 BMW aux input,
and the radio now successfully switches to Mode "aux" (which it would not have done with the Blitzsafe alone),
but the radio is not picking anything up when it is fed an aux signal ....

I think I read somewhere that you have to configure things so that the aux input is "ahead of" the Blitzsafe from the radio's point of view.

Not sure if that means you have to use one of Blitzsafe's passthrough cables or one of their other expensive interface kits.

That is, the aux in must be seen as the primary audio source and the Blitzsafe as a secondary source.

However, if the CSR at Blitzsafe you spoke to did not suggest this, maybe I am barking up the wrong tree.
