It was just a little lighter under the sun, same white colour like in the photo I attached in my previous post. I will take photos tomorrow. However when the main headlight is on, the angel eyes look more whitish yellow but still way hell better than before.
Forgot to mention earlier, I did try to buy the PIAA 18235 fron this link: http://www.amazon.com/18235-Xtreme-W.../dp/B002XY5NBM but they will not ship to Singapore as PIAA already have a representative here which is the same shop I ended up buying the Philips bulb in my post because they did not carry the PIAA 18235 Extreme white. SO I cant order online from Amazon and at the same time, the dealers here dont carry stock.

You can use those LED's, you just need to put a resistor in there to fool the ECU that you're using the voltage. Are the LED's you put in anywhere posted? I can probably make them work if they are excellent color and brightness it might be worth the effort. Let me know...

I called NAMotorsports today for the lux h8. They have not tested them on the F01 and don't guarantee them... Asked about the recall and they mentioned that this was 10 months ago...

I would suggest asking them to cut you a deal on them in the instance they fail, or trip a code. Then review them and post your honest comments here. If they're as good as they say, they'll probably get more sales.

My goal all along is to find the best option out there and give an unbiased opinion on their function.

I may end up making them myself, becoming a sponsor, then selling them. I don't have time to be honest, but am surprised someone hasn't figured it out for u$.

It came with the resistors which is why the mechanic said it will not send back an error code but it still did ONLY when the DTRL were put on through settings permanently. I am very fussy about these little things so decided not to. it is raining now so let the sun shine later and I will post take some shots.

Trying to take some better pictures but don't know how to get rid of the lens reflections of the 8000K fog and low beam.

Bill, I looked at the HID Kit on the fog. Between the 8000K bulb and the plastic cover. It still have lots of space. So heat is not a problem at all, it will not melt the plastic cover.

Thats very cool! What you using for the rings? Looks LED to me, any error codes?

Ya, i did throw me the code. But I turned off the Automatic Daytime Running light through settings. So it is fine.
Also, I like the AE with the Fog lights turn on all the time. So I just need to leave it on "Parking Light" mode.

Cause If I don't turn off the ADRL, the AE will stay on but I can't turn on the fog.

As you can see my low beam and fog are same blueish color. It looks very nice in person.

PS: I know the AE still throw me the error code, but I can deal with that for now no problem. I also notice that the outter ring is little purple. I love it LOL.

Exactly what I was facing with the LED's. Is your kit also made in Taiwan cause it looks exactly the same. Pardon my ignorance but what does AE stand for?

Another thing, does the error code keep blinking with the DTRL set on through settings one time or all the time during driving?

From what I gather, the new 5 is using LED's, cant that be fixed to the 7?

The new 2011 3 and 5 series both using the LEDs. It will not fit into 7.
They are all new re-designed. The brightness on both rings are the same.
No matter what LEDs we use on the AE. The inner ring is always brighter than the outter one.

Ok. I'm going to stick with the Philip bulbs becuase both rings are bright about the same till something new comes out..

As requested, here are the photos taken in broad daylight although it was raining all day. Now if just the DTRL are on, it looks nice and white but when the headlights are on, it's more yellowish. BUT with the LED's, one ring is brighter than the other which I am not very fond of either, with these Philip bulbs, both rings are bright.

If you recall, during my measurements the voltage drops appx 2 volts when the headlights are turned on resulting in dimmer Angel Eyes.

The HID's look great on the fogs. And I agree, the space between the HID bulb and the lense appears to be adequate. In addition, the space inside the assembly where the bulb is operating is large allowing for heat dissipation. I am going to go ahead with the install.

What pisses me off is I need the harness which is $12, and they want to charge me $12 shipping. What the heck? They suggested I just buy another bulb kit. What am I going to do with that? Forgetaboutit. I'll make my own kit, reluctantly.

I wish they would stack those LED's on top of each other on the two forks giving twice the brightness. It doesn't appear I can add to the system either. I wonder if I could attach an LED on the top of each of the metal forks (of the same quality). The voltage pull would be minimum and the light would probably increase over 50%. Hmmm. How much were those? I may buy two sets and tear them up.

Dont get me wrong, I do love the LED's but the error message was the first thing to tick me off and I did not like the fact that both rings had different brightness. Again if there were no error message, I would have taken it in a blink of an eye. I got the bulbs for US$60 plus minus few dollars(exchange). Basically plug and play and no problems at all. Now again with these bulbs, i find they look excellent with the headlights turned off but with the headlights turned on, God knows why it turns more yellow like in the photos in my previous post.

Mine are from Philips, just a swap, no harness whatsoever.

Do the LUX H8's not dim when the Xenons turn on?
I have the GP Thunders 7500k which look awesome with DTRL but dim when they Headlights turn on...

Yup mine dim to but they turn more yellowish with the headlights turned on, otherwise perfect white.

Again, the VOLTAGE drops more than two volts. This is why they dim. They test these lights at 12-13 volts, but don't anticipate them running below this level. But for some strange reason BMW decided to put a regulator between the bulbs and the power/ECU to control the voltage feed. The only way around it, a direct line to the battery using a relay--THEY WILL NEVER DIM AGAIN.

Oh well look on the bright side, at least there will be a contrast when I turn on my headlights which being able to show off my rings!

im sticking with my yellow incadescents until you ppl figure out the best of the best!

the h8 bulbs are always by order only and the various kelvins of the piaas are confusing...4000k 4150k 4250k 4400k 5000k......cant figure out wc one is the brightest and whitest.
