Any H8 will fit F01/F02. Disclosure on actual wattage of 7w is questionable hence the large hammer head shark heatsink design, color temp not disclosed, or that the soldered wires connected to electrical socket were indeed an afterthought.
Since seller only post 3 units available goodluck with your results....it's another kludge short run.
I'll wait for Mtec part release Q4.2011.
Be sure to post lots of photos. Monitor the plastics of the BMW lamp assembly for discoloration and or melting.
When the mid summer 2012 or 2013 F series releases, will anyone be so obsessed about the LED angle eyes?
Do you wave or give a nod to other drivers you see in another F series?

Well if you know for a fact they won't work already there is no need for me to buy them.

Thanks for the heads up.

They are being sold by a BMW dealership here on the east coast and they say they will work for our cars (F01/F02).

I am emailing them now to see if they have tested them on our cars yet or if they are just assuming they will work because they work on the older 7's.

I will report back once I get them and try them out.
This link is the same as our Genesis ICE LCI - well sell these. $169 + $24 for resistors. They aren't as bright as you want, they will however be brighter than ICE V5 with the same resistors.

Having done more research and installation, we have a very bright solution for you, it's HID based, it's currently out of stock by 2-3 days, but will be back on Monday.

It will work, no errors, without failures, but requires a bit of installation skill and work.

We will give anyone $50 off their Predator ICE LCI H8 if they are willing to test it, install, and provide photos. You will get $25 off the price for the kit to start, then $25 more when you provide photos and proof that it's installed.

I am interested and looked at your website. You claim on your website that the ICE LCI H8 system has a 100,000 hour life. Since these use Xenon lamps and not LED, and Xenon lamps typically have a 4,000 hour life, how is this kit able to have a 100,000 hour life?

theres very little info on what product youre actually providing other than two photos on an m5. Is this an hid kit with ballasts or is it an led bulb or how bout a picture of the product you're trying to sell for 250 bucks. Also what does your kit have different from rival kits say like ddm tuning? Can you go more into depth about what the error correcting module really is?

This thread does a good job of detailing what is involved:
http://www.m5board.com/vbulletin/e60...ce-lci-h8.html

The key is the error correction. Anyone can throw in an HID kit into their cars, the key is not to cause computer faults, that's what ours does. If we detail how we do it, then everyone can do it, and our competitive edge would be lost.

"This install will test your time and patience. If you are having marital problems or anger management problems, DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT undertake the installation until you have the necessary time, tools, energy, and proper frame of mind to do a good job.

The installation instructions are mediocre at BEST. Umnitza, if you are reading this, please please please provide new purchasers with a complete and comprehensive instruction guide with proper pictures for an E60 M5. The instructions were helpful, but there is ALOT of trial and error by the person installing to make this work, and the pictures and verbage provided were not adequate to do this within a reasonable amount of time. An updated guide would eliminate alot of frustration. To all the M5 owners, you HAVE to remove the headlights to make this thing work. This part is easy, the real headache is putting them back in, since there are a bunch of new wires everywhere. The ballasts have to be mounted under the headlights. You have to install HID ballasts, resistors, relays, and the bulbs in the correct way to make this work. Our car has much less room that the E60 LCIs without the V10 and respective airboxes."

Is the soldering involved with this or do this resistors come with some kind of connection with them to make it more plug n play?

This particular user had an issue with a few items, while at least 10 others (before, during, and after his install) had varying levels of less difficulty.

We actually worked with that user on the phone multiple times to make sure he was on track and it looks like he was happy very much with the results.

There is no soldering, the resistors are completely plug and play.

Upgraded my Angel Eyes....

i upgraded the angel eyes on my 2011 750i using the kit from http://www.alpinemss.com/product_p/hidan.htm. I love it. 3rd picture shows one upgraded and one original for comparison. I am attaching pictures of before and after. Easy install. Cost 179.
