Wow! Angel eyes gone modern... full report no bs

Hey guys.. my F01 alpine just when out on us during our drive from FL to TX..

Anyone else have their AE go out? about to contact Alex

So this is what happen. Alex have no idea why. Anyone have this issues? Fuse didn't pop but cable at the connector got soo hot it burn dry off

mine didn't do that, but my relay was so hot i couldnt touch it. Replaced it. Yours get hot?

reviving this one from the dead. Anyone get the Phillips 5000k h8 halogen bulbs? Looks to still be the best bet.

Been using lights from Strahl and have been thrilled. Not running too hot. Occasional fault code every few weeks. Couldn't care less. Love the white halos

From your picture , both inner and outer ring both look bright. I have been trying many different bulbs, only the inner ring will lights up bright. I have a 2011 bmw 740i but yours looks amazing, does the Nokya H8 opens up like a V shape when you put it in ?

Thats what I'm thinking. And a reputable brand to boot! Now how easy or hard to install guys? Is there a DIY thread? I need these yellow suckers out asafp!!!

Got them in. It got rid of the piss yellow and made them white. It's like the Piaa bulbs, I'll probably sell em.

Hmmmm....looks like I'm gonna try the Alpinemss HID ones.

Ya think? I have scoured the other threads and have mostly heard good things. Can you elaborate a bit on what problems I may experience. Still have the weekend to change my mind I guess. Thanks!
