Webasto pre-heater to aux heating - not working

Hello all,

I have in my car BMW 525d touring (E39 2002, navi16:9) pre-heater Webasto Thermo Top Z/C-D factory builded.
It should work like pre-heater after engine start, when the outside temperature is below 5C and if i have enough diesel in the tank and if the battery is OK.
But my webasto is not working even all this conditions are reached.
It is only blowing a cold air for a few seconds and then it turns off.
After few tests i think that the fuel pump, water pump, and also the heating chamber of the webasto are OK.

Can somebody help me please? How can i solve this problem?

The second question is also about heating.

Can somebody give me an advice how to change pre-heater to Aux Heating? Nowdays i have only Aux Ventilation in my car.
But i have read, that there are some possibilities how to change this pre-heater to normal Aux heating option only with reprogramming software.

Here are pictures of my monitor and heater.

Thank you for all your advices and help...

Not to many of those in the US so ...

Have you tried to contact Webasto for technical information? Their website shows what looks like your BMW webasto "parking and auxiliary heater" on their OEM install page here.

Found an online parts manual and diagrams here in pdf format.

For those of you that don't know of Webasto:

With sales of around 1.6 billion euros (2008 business year) Webasto is one of the top 100 automotive suppliers worldwide. The company's core competencies include development and production of convertible, roof and body systems as well as heating, cooling and ventilation systems for passenger cars and commercial vehicles. Check the ignition for the preheater. Sounds like it's not working (air and fuel flow, no ignition, shutdown system).

You'll probably need a BMW independent or dealer to reprogram the car.
